Sight Words 2.3

"Sight words" are words that cannot be sounded out phonetically or learned through visual cues, and instead, must be memorized by sight. The original Dolch Word list, named after Dr. Edward Dolch, comprises 220 essential words necessary for achieving fluency in the English language. The list was expanded to include 95 nouns later on.

Sight words are beneficial for both adults learning English as a second language (ESL) and children alike.

This application contains all 220 sight words along with the additional nouns presented in a flashcard format.

Key features of the app include:

• Words can be designated for the review list by using the star icon and cleared via the menu
• Words are pronounced upon tapping the flashcard
• Long-press functionality on buttons allows for quick navigation to the beginning or end
